Over 400,000 players nationwide compete in local league play.  In Alabama, over 9,700 adult and senior tennis players participate each year, with many progressing to state, sectional, and national championships.  The competitiveness of USA League Tennis is a direct result of the NTRP (National Tennis Rating Program).  After a player has played at least two matches in a league season, he or she receives a NTRP computer rating for future USA League Tennis play.
